The Invasive Plant Council of BC is facilitating the development of an Invasive Species Strategy for BC. The Strategy will be a guiding document designed to enhance the coordination of invasive species management across the province. To date, two workshops have been held in Richmond, BC to gain input from various organizations, groups, agencies and individuals on the Strategy. We are now taking the Strategy on the road for broader review.
The Invasive Plant Council of BC is hosting an Invasive Species Strategy for BC workshop at the office of the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations in Nanaimo on November 21st, 2011 from 1:00-4:30pm with an open house from 4:30-5:30pm. This workshop will provide an opportunity to bring forth ideas on key challenges and solutions, including stable long term funding, for invasive species management in BC.
The workshop is open to anyone interested in invasive species in BC. This is a free event- coffee and refreshments will be provided.
If you are unable to attend this workshop, please consider attending an Invasive Species Strategy for BC conference call (scheduled for November 8th, 2011 from 6:30-8:00pm or November 15th from 1:30 to 3:00pm).
